These boots are very warm, rugged, and comfortable. They will probably be my "go-to" footwear when I will be walking a lot, especially snow or rugged terrain.

I've only worn these once out in the snow to hike, but so far I really like them. Comfortable and they don't seem to hit any sore spots on my feet (ankle bone area where I usually have problems). Got a bit bigger size than I normally do just because I'll have chunky socks when I wear these and they fit well. I like the grip on the bottom and I was more comfortable going up and down slick hills when walking. I also like that I didn't have to treat these before wearing. Right out of the box waterproof.

I'm using these mostly for snowshoeing...replacing an older pair of Lowa's which were similar. Comfy right out of the box. Haven't worn them in sub-zero temps yet...but plenty warm so far. My foot is on the narrower side and this brand fits me well. Other true hikers often are too wide on me.

Great for intended use in snow and mud (though why designers produced any in white, is a bit beyond me). Sheds snow nicely.

My usual picky feet have gotten hyper picky after an ankle injury. These boots are totally comfortable in my size. When a shortage in availability forced me to try a size up, I couldn't wear them at all due to pain, even though the fit did not seem that bad. But I am grateful to have found more in my size.

I just got a pair of these in the Fort Collins retail store, as I was pleased to see that there were multiple sizes available there for me to try. I had been confused about the earlier reviews regarding sizing. I needn't to have been concerned - my usual size 9 foot fit just fine in the US 8.5 size (which is what works best for me in Lowa boots), which is the only thing off in the sizing. The Euro 40 which is shown on the box is absolutely correct in this case for me, as is the UK size 6.5 which is also on the box.

Personally, I'm just thrilled, as these fit my more narrow than not foot just perfectly with a reasonable (light-to-mid-weight) sock. I didn't notice any tendency for pronation with the included arch support, and I'm very sensitive to that as it makes my knees hurt.

If one is in doubt when ordering about the correct size, I would suggest contacting the STP customer service folks, as they would have that additional information handy. Additionally, this URL ( contains the international sizing information, which can be very helpful when hoping to find European sizes.

I am 70 and have two rambunctious dogs - nervous I will fall on my face in the ice and snow! I feel so safe in these boots! YUM!

These are very well made Lowa boots. They received top notch reviews from the outdoor review sites when they were current products. I wear Lowa boots because I have a low volume, narrow foot. Normally I wear a 9.5, but these run small and the 10 fits well. They are E.U. 42 which is often a good starting point.

Runs small and very narrow. They didn't feel very cushioned or supportive. Plus, my feet tend to pronate in, and these boots actually made my feet roll in more. Very disappointed.

Love Lowa boots, and these are very typical. They fit like custom-made boots, are very durable (I only bought this pair after my 15 yr old pair gave out). Highly recommend.
