5.0 out of 5 stars. Wonderful

The shorts are wonderful. I am 34 waist and I ordered Large. It fit well and is not loose.
The thing that I missed was that it includes built-in briefs, so its' good for a running (as advertised). I also sometimes wear it to the gym.

It has pockets and a small compartment on the inner side to keep a single key (so that it's not bouncing around in your pocket while you're running). I would give it a thumbs up!

  • 2.0 out of 5 stars. Nice shorts but way too big
Reviewed by El Barracuda from Vegas on Sunday, February 26, 2017
I wear medium and large shorts usually with a waist of 34. I don't like long pants with inseam >32 and I don't like shorts that are at my knees or longer. I found these large Marmots to be huge in the waist and hitting my knees. Otherwise, they seemed to be nice shorts but overly big and baggy is not for my taste. If it was, these would have been 5 stars.

I bought these for trail running. I'm new to trail running. These shorts are great-comfortable, light weight.

Great shorts. Extremely light weight. Built in brief. Have used them for casual easy runs but for anything more serious I'd rather shorts that weren't quite this long...these go to just above the knee.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Great pair of shorts if you like the length

These have 9" inseams which, in a size medium (I'm 5'9") hit me at mid-knee. I prefer my running shorts above the knee. That being said, these are a high-quality pair of shorts.

Great fit. Liner is excellent. Material is light and breathes well. After getting 1 in the mail I bought 2 more. Length is perfect, to just above the knees.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
