Previous ski helmets I've used have had vents that can be opened or closed based on the temperature. These don't, and the actual liner is a bit of mesh that isn't very warm. I had to use a thin liner hat (the thickest I could fit under the helmet) to try to stay warm on my last ski day.

I got good use out of this helmet today. I took quite a spill and definitely appreciated having a hard thing around my head. I don't think I had it tightened all the way, but that's my fault, so despite that it really did a great job (though I do have a bit of a headache). It fits very well and is very comfy and warm (those ear flaps are great!). Plus I really like the matte coloration (I got the white one, it looks pretty slick).

Great comfort and looking, very warming, don't feel anything after a day's skiing. Bought one for my girlfriend but ended buying another one for myself.

We needed a helmet in a pinch and ordered based on reviews and low price and this one turned out great. It looks good, is warm, fits as expected and adjusts nicely.

I bought this helmet to commute to work on my bike this winter. I did have to purchase the summer insert because its not quite cold enough for the fuzzy ears yet but I am looking forward to using them. My last helmet was a bit more aerodynamic and fit differently. Not that this is a bad fit its just different than Im use to. I would say my only issue is that because of its shape, the wind noise around my ears is much louder than with my other helmet. But I love the color ( aqua with purple straps) and Im looking forward to wearing it all year.

the helmet seemed pretty nice. unfortunately i ordered the M/L and it is so tight with the liner in that it started giving me a headache within 5 minutes, so i had to return it.

I actually purchased this for my 11-year-old daughter because her size was not available in the youth helmet. The very helpful sales team at STP pointed out that the actual measurements were basically same for the women's S/M as the girl's helmet. The only difference I found is that the front comes down a bit lower on the forehead, but it worked out fine for my daughter (we also have a youth S/M which my six-year-old wears, so we were able to make direct comparisons.) What I really like about these helmets is the soft, fuzzy liner. My girls say they are very comfortable and love wearing them. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that strap used for adjusting circumference is just cloth and velcro and makes for less of a secure a snug fit than helmets with the dial-type of adjustments (my son has a Giro and it has a dial, which I love, but no soft, fuzzy lining.)

The removable liner is soft and comfortable, while the helmet serves it's purpose as protective gear. Great value!
