I purchased this jacket based on reviews of many saying it kept them dry. It failed miserably for me. Before I took the tags off I ran water on it and it rolled off, but I now realize this is not a good test. I should have put it on and stood in the shower. The first time I woreit hiking was in a light rain on a 5 hour hike. I had an icebreaker under layer so I thought that the light moisture was possibly moisture from perspiration. The second time I was in a harder, but not driven rain on a 3 mile hike and the jacket had as much water inside as it did outside. Awful experience. Very disappointed as according to the policy, it can not be returned. It is hard for me to reconcile my experience with the reviews.

I love this jacket superlight and breathable. It doesn't need to pit zips which makes it fit even better. Mountain hardware has always been a durable product and this jacket is no exception.

Nice cut. Trim. Soft feeling fabric. I chose a different coat in the end, but I almost got this one too because it is so good looking and crushes down pretty small.

I bought this jacket for an upcoming trip to India, so I have yet to try it in the rain. I love the lightweight feel of it, color, and the way it fits. So far I am very pleased with it. Shipping was quicker than I had anticipated.

My wife and I bought this for our daughter for a Christmas present. It will replace a North Face rain jacket she has completely worn out. Obviously she has not seen or worn the new jacket yet, but my wife tried it on and they are the same size. It fit my wife very well and is very well made. The soft brushed chin guard is a nice feature and similar to my daughter's North Face jacket. Mountain Hardwear makes excellent quality garments and I think our daughter will be very pleased. This jacket was also priced extremely well.

I originally got this for my sister in law as a gift, but once I felt how solid it was built I had to get another one for my girlfriend too! I always test waterproof jackets before I take them outside by running water over them in the sink and it was super water proof. The reason why it's 5 Starz is because it looks great, made solid, I'm told it has a great fit, and is waterproof. Which is just about all you can ask for.

I did not like the jacket at all. It felt plastic and thin. It was not the quality that I expect from Mountain Hardware products. Shipped it back the next day.

Nice red to rose color. Sm fits perfect on 5'3" X 115 lb frame with room for fleece jacket underneath. Only modestly rain tested but so far, no signs for concern. Price to value ratio approved.
