Verified Buyer Reviewed by N8urboy from Midwest on Sunday, June 12, 2016This is a very high quality product, light weight, well ventilated and extremely comfortable. I have an oval head and am limited on selection. The Bell Gage fits the bill, and won't look like you have a bowl on your head. Plus, the STP coupon brought the cost down to under $70.00 You can't go wrong with this helmet
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Running for the Hills from San Diego on Wednesday, May 11, 2016Comfortable, and not bulky at all. Also, very light, but still feels sturdy and protective. Seems to get good ventilation. Very happy with it, and a spectacular deal when combined with an STP coupon.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Avid roadie from New York on Monday, November 9, 2015Fit is personal, but generally, Bell runs full/round.
The Volt is well made, well finished and a bit lighter than the older model years of Volt's.
Great price from Sierra!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Avid roadie from New York on Monday, November 9, 2015I've owned a Bell Volt and this is similar, but it is a step up in some details. Its lighter by about an ounce and while the Bell full/round shape, this is just a bit smaller than the Volt, bit only a small amount, I use a large Volt and same on the gage.
I will not be using mine until next spring - I tend to use older and heavier gear off season = so cannot comment on ventilation (but it looks quite good) or comfort on long rides. Fit is personal, but as others have said, Bell runs a bit rounder inside, than others such as Giro.
Sierra's price was great, and the only "All New" helmet technology id MIPS, which seems to have hardly caught on - I have never seen anyone wearing a MIPS helmet. Perhaps its the price or many seem very hot and with very poor ventilation, given the extra layer. Also, as 1 cyclist comment suggested, the "tech" of MIPS is merely an extra layer with very low tech rubber legs. perhaps wearing a helmet liner/hat (summer or winter weight) would do nearly as much.
Hard to tell....
Regardless, the Gage is a very nice helmet.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by jay from Illinois on Tuesday, September 29, 2015I bought this helmet to replace a Prevail that had cracked in a crash. Fit me better then the Prevail and seems to be just as cool on a ride, though hard to say for sure because I haven't used it on a hot day yet.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Tracy from Colorado on Sunday, April 26, 2015Great lightweight helmet, very easy to adjust and is comfortable to wear. Nice to get a pro peloton helmet for under $100
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Guest rider from California on Tuesday, April 21, 2015The gage is Bell's top of the line non aero road helmet. This is my second gage. I have it in another color
I bought this because it matched our team kit in the Matte orange/blue burnout color for races.
Bell helmets fit my round head better then Giro's or specialized lids.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Cableguy from Salt Lake City on Thursday, September 4, 2014My first serious cycling helmet, easily the lightest I've worn. Well ventilated, hardly know it's there, keeps my head cool. My noggin measures exactly 22" circumference so I went with the small. It fits snugly (as helmets are supposed to) and I'm glad I didn't go with the medium.
I bought the black version for myself - it's more matte grey with black accents, definitely better than a solid black helmet. I bought the blue and orange for my wife, she likes it since it's neither too bland or too flashy, and certainly not as 90's as the pic would suggest.
It also comes with an extra set of pads.
