It's a great mat my hands and feet stay put it doesn't move while on the floor it's very firm and supportive, my only complaint would b that is very heavy it's not ideal for on the go because it's so heavy. Overall it's a well made mat and I'm happy I bought it !

I am glad that I ordered this mat! No breaking in required - it provided excellent traction right from the start. I also like the color. Cool and soothing

I got this for a friend. It is so sticky, right from the start, and doesn't need "breaking in".

I did my homework and found the best yoga mat, for the best price on your web site. The product is perfect. I was a little concerned when I saw the smashed box it came in; but all is good.

I am used to the generic bumpy mats, so this one seems WAY heavier. It is also harder to roll than mats I've had in the past. Super durable. Also pretty sticky; no slippage.

I use this mat primarily for warrior and other standing poses because my spine is very bony. I love it. The color is perfect and it cleans up nicely. I have not carried it anywhere yet - I usually do yoga at home. I was hoping to get the prAna mat as well, but STP notified that those are only available in-store. So I will have to search locally for that.

As for the bony spine, I have been doing floor yoga using a spri mat and that is very comfortable. However if there is anyone out there with any suggestions as to how to manage floor pose yoga using the Maduka with a bony spine, I am all ears.

Thank you, Sierra Trading Post, for providing such great deals. It makes it possible for me to have really good quality yoga things ( mats, clothing) as it would be a struggle to buy these at full price.

I bought this mat a month or so ago and it still smells bad. I had to move it to the basement to let it air out because I was getting a headache. It should not take this long. Maybe that's why it is being closed out.

I only gave this 3 stars because although I want to like this mat--it's well made, supposedly better environmentally and substantially thick--it DOES have some issues with strong odor. I put it out in the cool garage for 5 days with little dissipation in smell, then set it out in bright sunshine for 2 days and back in the garage. It is better now, which gives me hope it'll just be a matter of time. Hopefully it will be worth the wait :) It is also heavier than my former mat, but is also longer and thicker, so would expect a trade-off.

I just received this mat last week and used it for the first time in my hot yoga class. My old one costing around $15 was no match for this Manduka mat. This mat is QUALITY- you get what you pay for. Extremely gripping on your feet and hands. I bought the teal colored one and may buy the orange one was well. Very nice looking, heavy, durable but most importantly it will change your workout for the better, trust me on that one. As far as the smell, there was an extremely faint one.
