Extremely light racing poles. Stp however sent me the wrong size and didnt have the correct ones in stock when i went to return. If your thrifty, you can dip the grip in very hot water for 1 min and slide the grips off. Then cut to size. Put a little glue on when you slide them back on. Got the right size that way.

These are great poles at an unbelievable price. I've wanted a pair of race quality poles for several years, but couldn't afford them until I found these on STP. Note: you MUST get the size best suited to you. As far as I can tell Komperdell must have used epoxy on the grips and baskets, because they will NOT come off with gentle heating, to allow cutting of the shaft itself.

There are lighter poles, but these are exceptional for the price. They are cheap enough to use for training, but light enough to race if you aren't looking for that last 1%. I'll probably use them for both to keep it simple.

The grips may not be large enough for all hands, but more comfortable than Swix in my opinion.

This pole is light and stiff, as others have indicated. The wrist strap is also very short, as one other review indicated. Also, the baskets appear to be "skate groomed trails only" in that they have a very small surface area and penetrate pretty far into non-compacted snow. I guess the "Team" in the description should have told me that this is a racing pole, not a touring pole.

Still, my wife and kids really like them. I have problems keeping my hands warm (Reynaud's Syndrome), so the limited glove sizes allowed by the strap are a problem for me. I really like the poles when the temperature is above 25, though.

A good lightweight pole for a recreational skier or junior racer. The carbon makes it less durable but that's that usual tradeoff that comes with lighter weight.

First new poles in many years and very happy with them. They are light but still stiff and the hand/wrist support is very comfortable and supportive. I got these for my classic setup and think I will get a pair for skating.

Fit the description. Great for skate skiing.

My first pair of poles were some bamboo jobs I bought some 30 years ago. I'd been using my backcountry ski poles (Komperdells as well) but when this deal came along on Sierra Trading Post I figured it was time for an upgrade...and I'm glad I did. These poles are sweet! Lightweight, strong, well-constructed and nice looking. My only complaint is that the wrist straps are too short...I can barely use them with my thinnest gloves (typically I wear a men's large glove size)...liner gloves only there's no way I can fit any sort of insulated glove under these straps. I will end up modifying or lengthening the straps somehow. Other than that these poles rock!

Very good pole in its price range. Equal or better than SWIX, Toko poles, much better than One Way this pole has great handgrips and good sittffness. It is NOT a 100% carbon pole, and weighs more than poles in that class which retail between $200-350. But it is reasonably light weight with very good stiffness for skating at lengths over 150 and is suitable to the advanced recreational skater, all citizen racers and top high school racers. These poles deliver what they claim and with a discount on special they are half the price of the major brand poles.
