Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sarah from NM on Friday, December 16, 2016Wow! The color is exactly as pictured, the jacket fits nicely with a little extra room for a light layer, zippers work, hood is functional. Everything you'd expect from Marmot and a great price.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by coffeelover from Washington on Friday, November 25, 2016I really like the jacket, great fit, very comfortable. I tried it out walking the dog in a deluge of rain, and it kept me dry. I don't think it is as warm as I expected, but i will be able to wear a down vest underneath while skiing. There are two things I don't like about the jacket: 1. The drawstring to tighten down the hood is only on the back of the hood. There should be another drawstring to tighten down the front (the elastic is there, just not a way to tighten it!). 2. I don't like the powder skirt, it is bulky and not that effective. But it is easily zipped out. Even with these flaws though, you can't beat the price (I got it for $99). I'm happy with the purchase, but I wouldn't have paid full price ($265).
Verified Buyer Reviewed by LMT from NM on Monday, November 21, 2016Haven't used it yet. We're still waiting on winter to arrive... It's my first Marmot product.
Marmot's website listed a lower breathable/waterproof rating for MemBrain technology than the 20k/20k advertised by STP in the product description.
I already have a heavy duty jacket for serious weather on the mountain. I was looking for something to wear on milder days, and I think this coat will work.
The fit is great. It's pretty cute. It has a square shape which would normally turn me off, but it's a little shorter in length than most jackets, so the boxy cut looks and feels ok.
I like the simple, no-frills design, but I would have liked to have wrist cuffs with thumb holes. I'll have to wear long gloves with this jacket.
My typical size Small fits me at 5'5" and 125lbs with room for layers, but not much overall length or sleeve length to spare.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Pdxmom from Portland, OR on Friday, November 4, 2016I really liked this jacket, but it was too small on me, so I sent it back. They didn't have the larger size, so I found it on another site and ordered it there.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Outdoorsy Mom from Colorado on Monday, February 15, 2016I haven't actually worn it skiing yet - I'll try that out this weekend! But so far so good. It's warm without being too bulky, and sits nicely over the hips. The green color is my fave. Lots of nicely placed pockets for storage while on the slopes. Zipper is a little finicky, but once started it zips up just fine.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Maynes from California on Tuesday, January 26, 2016This jacket is great looking and comfortable. It was exactly what I was hoping for. So far, I've only worn it one time skiing, but it was warm enough and I love the way it looks, and really love the color! I had read that the zippers can be problematic, and I found that to be true, but it is not a deal-breaker for me. I think I can look into how to make zippers work more smoothly. My previous jacket was too large for me, and therefore somewhat shapeless, so in buying a new one, I wanted to get a more fitted, feminine jacket, though not super-tight, or super-short. I like my back fully covered. This jacket did the job for me, and my 17-year-old daughter likes it also, so I might have to share! 4 stars rating because of the zippers, though I would definitely buy again. And price was unbeatable.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by JMS from Colorado on Wednesday, January 20, 2016Great color, great fit. Haven't worn it up to the mountain yet, but based on the fit and the way the lining looks, I should be good to go.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Eagle Hiker from Colorado on Sunday, January 17, 2016simple, clean, non-cluttered design. good fit, not too bulky
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ski Mama from Utah on Thursday, May 21, 2015Looks exactly like the photo - fits true to size. Love the look. Has some shape to it and longer but not too long like a snowboarders jacket. Glad I bought it!
Will work perfectly for those snowy days on the mountain. I will layer it and will stay nice and toasty.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by CSAGGIE from Austin on Tuesday, May 12, 2015I have not wore it but love the color and design. It is light too. Hope it can keep me warm at mountain.
