Closeouts. When the trail is steep and the mercury is rising, the Mountain Hardwear Coolhiker shirt stays cool under pressure. I own this T-shirt in a few different colors. It's extremely comfortable and the fit is flattering.

This shirt has a nice soft hand. I intend to use it as a sleep shirt, but it would also make a fine base layer.

The shirt fits a bit funny. I wear a large because I have a broad back, and like my clothes a bit loose. This large fits my chest snuggly. I would prefer it be a bit looser, but it will do. I havent had an opportunity to check to see if it is cooler in the summer.

There were a couple of things to really love about this top. The fabric felt like your favorite vintage t-shirt, washed hundreds of times over the past decade until it was thin and smooth. The colors were beautiful and saturated - "berry jam" was an intense orchid", "wild melon" was a rosy coral, "atlantis" was a hot mint, and "lychee" was a glowing peach. Unfortunately, for me at least, the fit just didn't work well. I have broader shoulders and am an hourglassy smallish medium (34C bust - 27" waist - 38.5" hips); I ordered Small and Medium and neither fit properly. The Small was a somewhat too loose in the waist and slightly too loose in the hips; the shoulders, by contrast, were cut at least two inches too narrow for mine, and the bust was a bit too snug for comfort. The shoulders of the Medium were still too narrow by at least an inch, and while the bust fit well, from the bust down the shirt was tent-like. Not only was the look very unflattering, but I find that loose shirts tend to chafe uncomfortably during exercise. I'm still debating keeping a Small or two because of the beautiful colors and fabric, but the fit just doesn't work for me. I would recommend this shirt to apple shapes with narrow shoulders.

I purchased this shirt for hiking and other outdoor pursuits in which I wanted a little more protection from the sun. This shirt delivers nicely. I am 155lbs and 5'8" so I purchased the large. It is neither snug nor too loose in fit and comes is a good length on me. – I don't have to worry about showing anything when I bend over or squat down. Very pleased so far.
