Nice true fit. Not overly snug on the foot or calf. I use then while fishing and they keep my feet dry and warm.

These things are amazing. A bit pricy but well worth it. I am sure you know that staying dry in cold weather is very important, but some times when your pushing yourself your feet are going to sweet. The problem with this is those wool socks will keep you warm and pull that sweet away from your foot....when you boot temp is next to freezing or below this can be a problem. With this sock you can keep all your moisture next too you feet away from the edges of your cold boot and insulated so that your feet stay super warm. Now the other great thing about these socks is say you have creek crossing all day and its one of those cold day and your shoe are not waterproof. Well never fear you socks are so go splash around it water and enjoy having dry feet!

I wore these socks with my sailing sneakers in the Long Island Sound during a windy fall sailing regatta. My feet were soaked on the outside, but inside they were dry and pretty warm! For extra warmth on the second day I wore Icebreakers merino wool liner socks as well. I am very impressed with the performance of these socks, highly recommend!
