These jeans do run a little small. I usually wear a size 12, I ordered a 14 after reading reviews and they are tight but they fit and look nice. i would recommend them. They have actual pockets, too!! My entire phone fits in the front pocket!

I am usually happy with Mt. Hardware clothing and size 12 usually fit perfectly, however these pants were so small I could not even zip the up. Like the other reviewer the fabric is stiff and scratchy. I returned this item.

I usually don't pay more than $40 for jeans, but I decided to give these a try since they were on sale, they looked nice in the picture, and I've had a good experience with Mountain Hardwear clothing so far. The first thing I noticed when I took these out of the package was how incredibly stiff they were. I probably could have stood them up on their own. I assumed that meant that the denim material they used was probably very durable, so I gave them a shot and tried them on. The description says that these run small, so order a size up, but I think I could've gotten away with ordering my normal size. I'm 5'5" and 130 lbs. I ordered a size 6, but I think a size 4 might have fit well, too. The size 6 was not too big on me. It had a nice, comfortable, slightly loose fit. Maybe they would've fit better after a wash. The back of the jeans fit nicely, but what made me decide to return these was that the front of the pants don't fit well. The crotch part where the zipper is was too big and it sagged. Maybe that is something that would've gone away with a run through the washing machine. Maybe the stiffness of the jeans would've been fixed by that too, but I didn't want to take a chance and not be able to return it if I still didn't like them afterward.

Found these to be baggy, fabric doesn't have a nice feel to it and looked "old fashioned" so returned; boxy look.

Nice quality jeans, what you would expect from a Mountain Hardward product. I am 100lbs and got a size two. They were way too big. The pants felt like a 4. I would definately order down in size.

At this point, I've tried on six different pairs of these jeans. Out of those six, I'm only keeping one, but I wish it were more. The DWR is fantastic and the fabric is sturdy, which is what I was looking for. They're not very stretchy, despite what the description says. I usually wear an 8 or 10. An 8 in these is too tight in the thighs. The 10 was good...but only in the light wash. The dark wash in the same size was noticeably too big all around (droopy crotch, high and loose waist). Both dark and light wash were in the short length, but the dark wash was way too long. The light wash was perfect for my 5'4" height. In short, I was looking for some tough, water-resistance denim pants. I just wish the sizing was more consistent and there was a little more stretch, but I'm happy with the one pair I'm keeping!
