Royal Robbins Summertime Skirt - Hemp-Organic Cotton (For Women)

Closeouts. Adorably stylish with a distinctive design, Royal Robbins' Summertime skirt sports a flattering, wide waistband and pretty pleats. It's made of a luxuriously soft, surprisingly resilient blend of hemp and organic cotton for an earthy touch, and drapes like a dream.

I love this little skirt, but it runs large! I'm surprised as I often need a size up on my bottoms. The waist was huge and overall frumpy because it just was sooo biiig. I'm pear shaped with wide hip and this hung off me like a sloppy sack. Unfortunately they are out of the next size down because it probably would be great if the sizing was more accurate :(

I've been wearing shorter skirts a lot recently, and these skirts are very cute and comfortable. I love the waistband, which doesn't dig in or pinch at all. I gave it a 4 because the brown skirt and the blue skirt don't fit the same. The blue skirt has a longer hem in back and a longer hem overall and just looks better. I'm keeping both, but I wish the brown one fit the same as the blue.

The skirt is light -- perfect for summer as the name suggests! Being a hemp blend it has a slightly grainier feel but is soft and nice against the skin. It falls a few inches above the knees and is a little short if you need to be bending down a lot.
I bought one in both colors!

I wasn't too sure about this skirt, but since the price was right, I went ahead and ordered it in size 8. It fits perfectly and is just the right length. I can see where it might be a bit too short for a taller person. I am 5.3" and weigh 125 lb. I washed it and ran it through the dryer then took it out while it was still warm and smoothed out the wrinkles and pulled on the seams to smooth them out. It is totally wearable out of the dryer. A light pass with an iron would help, but I don't think it is necessary.
