Verified Buyer Reviewed by John from The West of US on Monday, December 28, 2015At 40 kN, it is nearly twice as strong as most other biners and slings. At 3.2 oz. it weighs the same or less than comparable locking biners. The locking mechanism is somewhat difficult to master with one hand, but I use it for anchoring, usually with my cordelette, when I have both hands free. One word of caution: it is stronger than almost anything you connect to it, meaning that another piece will likely fail first, not that you will necessarily be better protected. Still, I feel more comfortable with it, since the added strength doesn't come with a weight penalty.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by ttt from boston on Wednesday, July 22, 2015This carabiner is a heavy duty work horse. Good for toprope use. A little heavy for other types of climbing. The 3 motion gate was not as smooth as other similar biners though.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Evan from Ohio on Thursday, April 23, 2015Larger than most carabiners but that was expected because of the description. The locking system took a bit to get used to but could do it one handed and fairly quickly by the end of the climbing day.
