I had an older version of this same jacket that I ripped (swinging from trees on a Utah camping trip - I was being reckless, so the rip is not a reflection on the jacket's material) and wanted to get a new down jacket for work where a duct-tape patched jacket is not so appropriate. I came right back to this jacket immediately because the previous version kept me so warm & very rarely lost feathers. The material is very durable & doesn't seem to catch as easily as many other down jackets do & it definitely keeps its warmth with time & wear. I also find it to be warmer than most other 700-fill jackets that I've owned. This newer version is the same story as the old, so I'm very happy with this purchase. I also find it to be true to size.
Love the ability to cinch the bottom in with the cords in the pockets too when it's really windy. I would recommend this jacket for those living in/adventuring in windy places. I often don't use a windbreaker on top because the jacket does such a great job at cutting wind itself.

I don't have a single bad thing to say about this product & highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high quality, warm jacket for a stellar price - especially on STP!

I am 5'2", and the small fit perfectly. The blue color is gorgeous. Quality construction, very warm.

This came in too small, and it is quite thin. I'm surprised it is rated at 800 fill. I'm also looking for traceable down, down that is not from geese force fed or plucked live. May go to synthetic. A nice color though, and a good form fit.

Ordered this jacket for winter excursions in New England. Where the jacket was nice, warm and light it lacked in fit. I am 5'6 weigh 130 lbs and this jacket did not fit over my hips. It is shaped very boxy so if you have no hips it would be a nice jacket, unfortunately I had to return it.

I bought this for my daughter who is 12 and wears a girls size 14/16. I ordered the XS but it *just* fit her with no room for growth. So we exchanged it for a M in the Rasberry color. It should last her a few years and allow for layering in the meantime. We like the color but it is disappointing that you can see the darkness of the feathers through the fabric of the jacket. It gives it a slightly mottled look to it. If I had paid full price for the jacket, I probably would have sent it back. At 1/2 price I was willing to let it slide because I reognize marmot is a quality brand.

I bought this jacket for my very tall 10 year old daughter. It arrived, it turns out it fits both of us (I'm 5ft 1in, 115pounds)) and we both love it. Nice design and craftsmanship. We live in USDA zone 5 where winter daytime high temps often stay below 0F. I find I need to layer it with a thin down vest underneath, but my daughter runs hotter than me and it is good for her as is. We argue about who gets to wear it. The only criticism I have is that the outer fabric is thin. That is great for making it lightweight, but my 10 year old is particularly hard on her cloths and I fear it may not stand up to the kind of daily abuse her cloths get. Therefore I reason that the jacket is more appropriate for me:-)

I like the shape of the jacket, but I returned it as I didn't like the color. It was a little too bright for me.

Got this for my GF to wear as a mid-layer around camp. Went backpacking when the evening temps were around 35-40, and she was very comfortable with this, a terramar light weight base layer and a wind shell on top (she normally feels colder than average). Added bonus is the ability to turn this into a (somewhat hard) pillow using its pocket stuff sack.

This jacket is a beautiful deep blue that I so badly wanted to keep. It's warm and the lightest down jacket I've ever worn. However, while the sleeves fit okay length-wise, the torso was so short that every time I lifted my arms you could see my stomach. Since this is supposed to be a third-layer on top of a few other layers and couldn't even fit well with a thin layer underneath, I had to return it.

I normally wear a medium in regular fit jackets-but for this jacket-the medium was equal to an 8-so I decided to order the large-which was equal to a 10. The jacket was huge. The color is not really the purple that is shown-but more of a blue-ish/cobalt color. Aside from the sizing issues I had-the jacket is great-and you can't beat the price!
