Verified Buyer Reviewed by Dave from CO on Friday, October 21, 2016This Chinese made Gore-tex pro could have been a great hardshell for me but the sizing was just a bit off. At 5'8" and 175lbs I'm usually a dead-on Medium in DeadBird gear. The Medium in this jacket was simply too snug around the arm pits. Otherwise the length was great and the trim fit worked well everywhere else. I could comfortably wear the Atom LT underneath, except for feeling too constricted in the pits/chest. I exchanged this for a size Large, but that was overall too baggy and long for my frame.
If this jacket fits you well, then I think it's a solid performer. I tend to prefer a smaller hood, as I seldom pull a hood over a helmet.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Sam from Tennesee on Wednesday, March 11, 2015I have been shopping around for the right rain coat for me for months now. Received this jacket in a timely manner and couldn't wait to try it out. Remember, you only get what you pay for, so spend the extra for the Gore-tex. Took this jacket on an hour hike in freezing rain, stayed completely dry. The water doesn't bead off, rather mostly sits there. The hood is rather annoying and significantly limits vision, but this is necessary in order for it to be helmet compatible... The moldable visor is very handy. This jacket only had two front pockets that I would say are medium size and one inner pocket. Also the bottom cut is tapered, and cut pretty short in the front. No pit zips either. If you are looking for your basic lightweight 100% water proof jacket this is it. But if you want additional pockets look for something else. Ultimately for nearly $300 bucks you have to love it 100%, which I don't. Likely return.
