My five almost six-year-old daughter has worn these for three different days this weekfor no more than 7 hours in the snow in Colorado and Wyoming. She now has an area on one of her boots where the fabric has torn away exposing her toes to the wet snow. I am very disappointed in this purchase. I have been a fan of Kamik boots for years, passing down from one daughter to the other. These clearly don't stand up to the same quality that I have become accustomed too.

I was skeptical about the waterproofing on these, but they've lasted through days of snow play with my 11 year old son. His feet are narrow, and the straps tighten easily and securely for him. Love these boots!

My daughter wore these once on the playground at school with four inches of snow and had freezing wet cold feet. These boots are not even a little waterproof. Probably less waterproof that just leather "fashion" boots. Truly a waste of money.

I still may return these because we know these are going to get stinky, so the question is: do I throw the whole boot in the washer on gentle? I got the black for my son, the pink would be great for a girl. These are attractive, but if the are going to be impractical then cute is not a deciding factor. They are supposed to be rated down to -10* F, so for here they would be good for going to school. They are easy to pull on, fun and chic, but not too heavy and clunky for on and off the bus.
