The vest is a merino blend, not 100% merino, so it does pick up stink when you're sweaty more than other Icebreaker products. It's a slim fit- I'm usually a small or medium in tops depending on the brand and the medium I bought is snug (but not so much that I would size up). It's a nice light-weight layer. Kept me warm over a t-shirt while I played tennis in 50 degree weather. I think it's good for use during activity, but am not sure how warm it would be to just walk around in as there's no insulation. It does what I wanted it to, but I wouldn't rave about it the way I usually would for other Icebreaker products.

Since it is being discontinued I will be brief. The vest is good quality, the grey is a blue grey with black trim. It fits quite snugly when zippered, I am 5'4" about 112, low body fat. It is also long coming to the hip bones. It is warm and I do like it. If ordering suggest going a size up.

I bought this for cold morning runs, though i wasn't sure how i feel about vests, what with trying to find the delicate balance between staving off the chill and overheating later. I'm still not entirety sold on vests and think i prefer lightweight longsleeve performance tees, but that's just a personal preference probably related to the fact that i live in an area with mild winters. I'm definitely taking it for winter visits to colder climes. The vest fits snugly, as a base layer should, but true to size. Larger-breasted women might find it a little too constricting around the bust and arm holes, though it does have some stretch. I love the thin material and the secure zippered pocket. The chest pocket is designed for small mp3 players and has a headphone jack port on the inside but, at roughly 3"x4," is much too small for smartphones.

I wear a 12, got a large, which I usually order in Icebreaker, but this just seems too form fitting, will give this one a pass.

I read the reviews before purchasing and found them to be accurate. I typically wear a M in Icebreaker and ordered the same. It was a nice length. It is a trim fit and fits best over the icebreaker fleece tops, esp. the 200 weight. The color panther and black is good with black but has a bit of a blue cast so doesn't pair as well with gray. Nice weight. Armholes are wider and can cause a sleeve to bunch around the openings.

This is a great vest. Everything is as described. It is long, but I feel like all Icebreaker tops are.

I bought this vest for hiking when I need a little extra warmth on the top. I wanted something light, highly breathable, easy to take off and stuff in a pack, and with pockets. This vest certainly fits the bill. The pleasant surprise was that the black and White color blocking makes me look slimmer in it. I gave it 4 starts because I rarely give anything 5.
