You get what you pay for. This is a $20 sleeping pad and it feels like one. This on top of a tarp, in 32 degree weather, will not insulate you from the ground. Moreover, it is thin and not very supportive. If you are a side sleeper like me, this is a deal breaker and I would not recommend this pad. My experience is that you can only use a pad like this if you sleep on your back. I will invest in a better, more expensive sleeping pad for future trips. -JTH

These are light weight and no need for a pump or to squeeze air when rolling up the self inflating ones...these are our favorite. I only wish I had a way to pack them in their rectangular shape more safely so they don’t get bent-up

If you're expecting a lot of comfort, you're going to be disappointed, but going in with realistic expectations this pad performs very well. It insulated me well from the ground in temperatures around freezing. It was great to sit on while folded up, and easy to pack up and down as you're literally just unfolding it. Easy to clean if it gets dirty because you can just hose it off. Durable, and no worrying about patch kits because it's not inflatable. It's almost thick enough to comfortably sleep on your side, but not quite. If I had been camping on softer ground I might have fared better, but I was camping on hard ground with little rocks everywhere, and I couldn't stay asleep on my side, and woke up sore. For people who are good at sleeping on their backs, this pad is perfect.

All in all, for the price, this is great, and it's a great starter pad.

If your not in plush grass or soft sand you will feel every little bump. It was better than no sleeping pad but pretty lame. It was very light weight. I'd like my money back on this item

Used on a recent backpacking trip and was comfortable enough that I could actually sleep on my side.

Love it. Doubles as a sitting pad during breaks. We have another similar one that has a more even surface and that one doubles as our picnic table. Seems to be durable. Great to sleep on (I almost always sleep well outdoors). Lightweight.

I took this on a backpacking trip and I have to say this was not comfortable at all, I might as well slept on the floor with my sleeping bag. It did not provide a layer of warmth, the only good thing I could say about this is it is light for backpacking.
