These were designed for endures but I use them for regular MTB riding. I find them so comfortable that I have three pairs of these shoes. Also, because I got them for really cheap prices. They run a little on the small side (Pearl Izumi shoes run small generally). Good quality materials and craftsmanship, as usual from PI (owned by Shimano nowadays). I'm pretty easy on shoes so I don't know about any durability issues with these shoes. They are much more comfortable than my other MTB shoes. The toes bend so walking is not a problem. I also have carbon-soled MTB shoes and you can't walk with those. I have a pair of these in black that I'll be using for gravel grinding on Shimano SPDs. My other two pairs are set up for Time ATAC pedals/cleats.

I bought these for something to ride in that's not clip style, and something more rigid than running shoes!! they work flawless I love them, very light and very rigid, make you feel very confident in the pedals. Would buy again in a minute....

I normally have a really hard time finding cycling shoes that fit my wide feet properly. a bike shop recommended I try some Pearl Izumis and sold me another pair that fit well. I found these and they looked a bit more "road bike" style so I wasn't sure if they'd be as comfortable with my previous pair. I am happy to announce I was quite mistaken! These shoes are very VERY comfortable. I got them a size larger (48 vs 47) and they fit my 12w feet perfectly. I wore them almost an entire day breaking them in. Adjustments are easy to do with the ratcheting lock and velcro.

Good solid shoe. I've used them 3 times and they're comfortable but stiff enough to feel like you get good power transfer. Rated a 4 instead of 5 because the ratcheting buckle just feels fragile, time will tell if that's the case.

These are reasonably priced a fit well, I am a U.S. Size 10 and these are true to size. The shoes are narrow but that's true of Most biking shoes. I bought these because they look closer to a road shoe, which is what I am using them for
