Eagle Creek Pack-It® Specter Starter Set - 3-Piece

Closeouts. The Eagle Creek Pack-It® Specter starter set makes packing efficiently for your next trip as easy as one, two, three. The garment folder keeps clothes looking their best, and the cube and half cube offer simple, secure storage thanks to their compressible design and zip closure. Ultra-lightweight ripstop nylon stands up to tough travel and is stain- and water-resistant, too.

I have used Eagle Creek's pack-it specter series on several 10d-2wk trips, and they are well made and fabulously lightweight, not to mention ideal for organizing clothing. It's nice to have a new color (grape, in my case) to aid in the organization and/or to color-code by family member. This 3pc set contains a cube, half cube and garment folder. The latter was new for me, and the very first thing it did when I opened it was snag my sweater--as other reviewers have noted, the long velcro strips are a bit of a liability around many fabrics, which is a bit of a problem given that this is a garment containing device. I plan to cover the majority of the velcro with something (velcro, perhaps) to reduce the likelihood of future snags.

These are extremely light weight and well made. Unfortunately, the garment folder is too large for my tops which means that they do not fold as compactly as desired or in the right places. The garment folder is also too large to fit flat in the bottom of my suitcase/backpack. I think the garment folder in size small would be a much better fit for my women's small and medium tops. The cubes are not as translucent as hoped which means I must unzip them to see what's inside. The set is well made but does not really fit my needs.

Great to use for a backpack or carry on.

Wow! I'm going to Europe with a 20" Eagle Creek Load Warrior carry-on. I don't want to check a bag and worried I needed more than the 20" could hold. I used the packing system--folding, layering, and compressing my clothes. I'm amazed at how little space they took up. With starter set and 20" carry-on, I feel I can be away a long time! I'm thinking of getting rid of my 22 and 26" luggage :)

I decided to buy these on sale, and got to try them on a long weekend trip. I think they are cool. I could fit a lot in them, and they packed easily in a suitcase, then smashed down pretty well when I put items in on top. The items came out with minimal wrinkles on arrival. So, I think I'll be using them quite a bit.

The price was right so I bought these but not sure why they are so great. I'm not sure what the advantage is. The large garment folder is interesting. It would be very handy if one has something that they really want to protect from scrunching up. But it would add weight to the overall suitcase. The other little bags are lighter and very nice but I would rather have bags that are see through. But I definitely will use them and they were the right price.

I really like this set. The garment folder is a must have to keep the shirts compact and wrinkle free.

A great trio for travel. The garment folder exceeded my expectations for keeping tops and sweaters neat and minimal wrinkles.

Bought this for my 4 week backpacking trip to Nepal and India. I'm always looking for more ways to get organized so hopefully these will do the trick! Nice material, seems built to last.
