Bought these for my husband. They fit well and look good, fabric is soft. The shorter length is good for weightlifting -- less tendency to bind during squats etc..

I expected a running company like Brooks to have dialed in running apparel. These shorts are great for running as long as you don't need the left & right gel pockets. The rear zippered pocket will hold a iPhone 6--barely--not that I run with a phone. The gel pockets aren't deep enough and have a small meaningless Velcro patch to seal them. There's no inside the waist band key pocket. I've put keys, gels, credit cards in the gel pockets and have had them all pop out. Thankfully someone was running with me or I heard them drop. But I have littered the trails with jettisoned gels unintentionally. If you need pockets, I've used Race Ready's shorts and never lost a gel, keys or anything put inside them. I was so convinced these shorts would be fine I bought multiple pairs and neither work well for gels, etc.

Very light, wicking and has pockets for car opener and park pass. Ususally run in splits (Florida heat), but found these every bit as easy to run in in 60's/50's and the 5" length is not at all restricting (to thighs). Great price.

Own a couple pairs of these, glad to find them for under $20. Nothing fancy, just work.

Materials have superior give and stretch making shorts excellent for bouldering and hot yoga. Will be buying another pair. Length is mid thigh so the wife likes them. Thin and comfortable.

These are the best. I tried one pair and immediately ordered another. They're light, just the right length, and totally comfortable. The zip pocket is small, but much more secure than side pockets for essentials like keys or a credit card. I have a couple of brands of running shorts but Brooks is a cut above. These are specifically designed for runners and you know that immediately when you put them on.

I like the shorter length of these shorts and the inner lining is snug and comfortable.

The brooks Sherpa IV shorts aren't flashy, but they are comfortable and well designed. the length is perfect, long enough for modesty, short enough that sweaty material doesn't cling annoyingly to the thigh; he liner is snug enough to keep everything in place, but not so snug as to be constricting. I gave the item four stars because although the side pockets are usable another 3/4" of depth would have been better. since I have only had them for two weeks, I can't speak to their durability, but as a long time Brooks customer, I am confident that they will give good service for a number of years.

These shorts are well constructed of a very lightweight fabric that is very comfortable in the summer. They fit to size and look good. Back pocket is plenty big for keys.
