Verified Buyer Reviewed by sherpa_hang from Alexandria, VA on Wednesday, May 11, 2016I practically live in smartwool but these were just too itchy for me. They look great on and I tried them on several times even after making sure my skin was well moisturized, but was disappointed to have to admit that I couldn't take the scratchiness - not comfortable! Will be returning these.
Reviewed by Bikeaholic from Healdsburg, DA on Sunday, October 25, 2015Considering this is just 24% merino, the rest being nylon and lycra, this is a little itchy. I am hoping it will get less itchy after I wash it a couple of times. Not as flattering as pure nylon and lycra, as there is less of a compression effect.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by cyclecommuter from Minneapolis on Tuesday, September 22, 2015Fit: I am 5'5", 125 lbs, 27 in waist, typically a size 4. The small fits well.
Comfort: These have a terry/knit interior which is a tiny bit itchy. If you're sensitive to fabrics these may not be the pants for you. The waistband is a bit tighter than I think would be necessary, but it's not too bad.
Style: What you see is what you get. The pocket on the back is nice, barely fits an iphone 5 - a 6 may be pushing it. The smartwool logo is in the middle/front of the left thigh, which looks a little dumb but whatever.
Overall: these seem to be pretty well-made. I've worn them outdoors on 60 degree days, and they're about the right layer for that weather.
