Good moisture wicking. Feet still don't stay as cool as I was hoping. They don't stay up all that well either.

I bought several styles of SW socks last season and am doing so again this summer when many of them are on clearance-yes, I am a 'bottom feeder' and consider it my God given duty to buy quality at low prices. They hold up very well to machine washing, do not shrink or pill and the colors and design I find to be eye-catching...might I say artistic?

My toes are usually cold. Spent years trying thicker socks found out less is more. I can wear these socks with my sneakers and toes aren't numb. Will most certainly buy more.

These socks are a little too thin... may return them. They're also a little too big. Think I'll stick to SmartWool's hiking socks in the future... these fancy ones aren't as good.

I work in IT/consulting, and every now and again I have to wear dress shoes of sorts, and these socks were great! Soft and comfortable, and kept my feet dry. Most dress sock don't provide any wicking, so the merino wool was a welcomed change. Next I'm going to try these with some trail runners over a day-hike.

They do have their good points.

These ultralight socks have a different toe seam construction than what is typical, and the outside corners of the toe seams wind up under my little toes. That may not bother some, but I can't deal with that. But this may not be an issue for those with larger feet, as the seam would get pulled farther back as the sock is stretched out. (I'm a size 10 - 10.5 shoe size, and these socks are an otherwise perfect fit.) Other than that, they feel nice, and could be very useful in warmer weather.

These socks are as thin as your typical nylon dress socks, and I believe they could easily be worn in the summer. (I'm still discovering the world of wool socks, but I think a slightly thicker sock would still be as cool, by giving your foot more "breathing room" between it and the shoe.)

Bottom line: If you are at least a size 11, and are looking for the thinnest, lightest wool socks, give these a shot.
