I'm a tall broad-shouldered, long-arm woman. marmot and their angel wing fit always works for me. I love the long length, the zip off powdered skirt and the sleeve pocket for my rfid ski pass. The hood is helmet compatible and the little zipper at top helps refine the fit you want. This is by far the best ski jacket I've had (I have had other gore text pro shells). I love that it is long and feminine. I generally layer with merino and down. I also like that this jacket is a true ski resort jacket rather than a climbing shell. Perfect for hitting the slopes!!

I've wanted a GoreTex jacket for a number of years and finally decided on this one. It was a great decision. I love the feminine shaping, roomy LONG sleeves, multiple zippered pockets, and a hood large enough to allow a knit hat. The contrasting colored zipper is a bit difficult to operate, though it may improve with continual use. The pit zips allow the side seam to open wide enough to reach interior pockets. I like that. The snow shield around the hips zips out---I won't need that. This jacket is intended for extreme conditions such as the plentiful rain we get in the southeast. I expect its versatility to serve me well for years.

    Performance:
I was looking for a multipurpose rain/ski jacket and this one fit the bill. Took it backpacking in the Tetons and ended up hiking in consistent rain but stayed completely dry. I love the high neck for performance purposes (see look, below), and am even adjusting to the extra neck zipper idea (though honestly, it's a bit over designed). The hood works beautifully (it can be adjusted and keeps rain off your face). The pit zips are more "waist zips", but they're better than no pit zips at all. Zippers all work well. I'm looking forward to wearing it skiing.
Overall: slightly heavy for backpacking, but not a problem if you just wear it the whole time. Excellent for rain and snow.

    Fit:

Because I'm 5'10" with a long torso and narrow hips/shoulders, I have trouble finding performance jackets that actually fit. Either they are too big in the waist and shoulders, making me look boxy, or they're too short. Often they're both. I ordered this jacket in a small and it fit perfectly. Long enough (may be too long for smaller people?) but also flattering. Works great with a midweight jacket underneath. When I put it over a big down jacket, I have some trouble bending my arms.
Overall: good for those with long torsos. can't speak for others.

    Look:
I ordered the aqua color and it's really pretty. I prefer to wear the collar zipped all the way up b/c when it's partway zipped, it's too large (kind of outdated looking, IMHO).
