I got this fleece for my husband for winter hiking and biking. It is very breathable and wind proof while still offering exceptional warmth. It is similar in weight and styling to the Northface Denali fleece, but with much better tech. It made a very good winter bike jacket this cold winter season. The sleeves are love. My husband liked it for keeping his hands warmer in cold temperatures. He would definitely recommend this jacket.

I paid 45 plus shipping for this.

The jacket is nice with nice features, but the fit didn't work for me. I ordered an M. The arms were way long and the jacket was big and boxy. It has been returned.

Rugged, well made, stretchy with nice set of basic features. Fit is a bit odd: medium fits like an athletic large. Sleeve openings a bit wide and could use velcro adjustments or elastic trim, despite inner gaiters which could be beefier.

This is a very nice fleece. I bought this to replace my last shell. It's warm and large enough to wear over a sweater. I'm 6'1" and about 195 and it's a perfect fit.

I own several pieces of Mountain Hardwear outerwear. All fit true to size. They are all well made. The AirShield does a good job of blocking the wind. This piece can be worn alone or makes an excellent mid-layer.

Great if you have long arms. I'm 6'5 210lbs and wear an XL for most coats usually to have the sleeves long enough. Based on the reviews I ordered the size Large. The fit is a little more snug in the body but great if I'm only wearing it over a shirt. The sleeves are long, still a little longer than I like but at this price I'm keeping it. I wish there were adjustable Velcro cuffs but there are not so it will fall below your wrists. Overall, great quality jacket. As with other soft shell type jackets, the inside of the sleeves are a brushed fleece - very warm and comfortable over a short sleeve shirt but tends to "stick" to an insulating layer sleeve and can be a hassle to get on and off.

Purchased this as I often day hike on cold windy mountain tops. Usually I wear a fleece and bring a thin outer shell. In dry conditions, this jacket could serve both purposes. Since its summer in the NorCal Sierra Nevadas, I haven't been able to test it out. It is quite warm, still seems breathable, and is of good construction. It is not as stretchy as many fleece uppers, but I would not call it stiff either. Of note, I'm a wider dude, so typically I order XL on my tops, but XL was like a tent, so I exchanged for a L.

Extremely pleased!!! I have already loved the Mountain Hardwear brand and when this jacket arrived I was not disappointed. This jacket can relatively fast and packaged very nicely. The only I did notice was that it runs large. Normally I wear a size (L) and i'm 6 ft, and have broad shoulders. I ended up having to resend for a (M) which fit perfectly so I would just keep that in mind.
