Not really a winter/spring base layer but maybe end of spring/summer one. Great fit, very flattering, comfortable.

Wore these skiing yesterday. They are warm but the wasteband was weak and would keep getting lower and I'd have to pull up

I ordered the large. I am a 10-12 on bottom and these were super tight, almost indecent.
So definitely size up! Otherwise, they were cute..

These are great for cold areas. They were too heavy and thick for where I live. I also like the long length on them, which would be way too long for anyone with an inseam shorter than 32". I'm 5'7", athletic 140#, and the size M was a little big for my 29" waist.

There's a lot I like about these -- they're incredibly warm, stretchy, and comfortable, and they're thick enough that they can be worn on their own as leggings around the house or around camp. The waistband doesn't gap, and the slight pattern on the black tights is attractive, too. However, they're way too long for me -- I'm 5'3" and normally a size 2 or 4 in regular pants, don't usually need to buy petite -- and these tights really bunch up especially at the ankles, so I wish an XS was available. Also, the placement of some of the seams isn't the most flattering, namely up the middle. Neither of these issues is enough to stop me from wearing them, however, especially as a base layer under other pants or as leggings with a long tunic and boots to cover up the too-long ankles.

These leggings are really comfortable and have great stretch for yoga practice. I can't really imagine wearing them with the non-stripe side out, as that's more of a mesh fabric. These are completely opaque, with no show through.
Sizing: I'm 5'2", athletic #115, evenly proportioned, normally wear petite bottoms for length and rise. I got the small. I wish they were just a bit more form fitted. They're very long, while they could easily be shortened, they're cute worn a bit slouchy at the bottom. Someone much taller than I wouldn't have any problem with length.

I have quite a few base layers made by Terramar; I've been buying this brand for years and I've been pleased with the selection of styles and fabric weights available so I can choose a garment to fit the occasion temperature and activity-wise, so I don't end up being too cold or over-heated...This has been my first purchase of this particular style and I think they are great! Very warm but thin and smooth enough to fit comfortably under most of my clothing (but not my slimmest fitting jeans, however) and they have enough structure and weight that I would feel very comfortable wearing them alone. They are much thicker than the Thermolator style which I also like and wear for cool, but not truly cold conditions. I wear these on the days when the lighter styles do not provide quite enough warmth as they feel almost as cozy as my wool versions. I am always cold, even when just relaxing at home, so I wear base layers pretty much all of the time, from late fall to early spring...so I have lots of them and I'm always interested in trying something new. I haven't tried reversing these yet (just because I like the soft textured inside of these and think I would prefer it over the smooth but less cozy feel of the outer fabric next to my skin) but it is nice to know that I have that option. So far, these have been washed several times (cold water, line-dried) and are holding up well. The fit is TTS--trim but not too snug and I like the wide waist (hits me about the same as on the model) which is comfy and stays put. They are several inches too long for me (I am 5'4" and I just wear these scrunched at the ankle, so no problem) and I think these would probably be great for tall women--maybe 6" or so taller than myself. I bought these L & XL, not sure if this would be true of the length for smaller sizes...

These are great. Very versatile. Fits extremely well. Superior comfort. Exceptional warmth. Move with your body with rolling or bunching or slipping.

I picked these up on a whim. And I LOVE them!! I can wear them around the house on a chilly morning, out to the store for a quick errand, under my jeans for added warmth in cold day and under my snow pants for added warmth.

I'm in between a M and a L, I went with a M and they fit perfectly. These are my new go too and favorite item.
    I just ordered another pair!
