Verified Buyer Reviewed by SK from Sunnyvale, CA on Tuesday, September 27, 2016I love travelling with this pack, its light enough and the adjustable torso straps work great. I would have certainly loved a little extra padding on the waist straps. The denali 65 has a lot more but both of these from JW feel similar. The addon raincover certainly came handy. Overall a great steal on STP considering these sell for much more in EU.
Reviewed by PJ from Massachusetts on Saturday, April 30, 2016I love this bag. It's sturdy, comfortable, has an adjustable torso, and well thought out multiple access points. The only downsides, which I can't penalize in a bargain bag, are 1) no belt pouches and 2) a non-detachable lid. The hidden water bottle pocket can serve as a dump pouch at waist level but it really would be nice to have a hip pocket for a camera, gps, snacks, or other quick-grab items. A detachable lid could be nice for quick side hikes or slack-packing. I ended up supplementing this bag with an Osprey Ultralight Grabbag to attach to the to the front. The grabbag serves as a large front pouch for quick-grab items and doubles as a lumbar pack, eliminating the only two complaints I have about this backpack. For the price, I love this bag!
Reviewed by Pooch hiker from Pennsylvania on Sunday, September 27, 2015I bought this knowing very little re what to look for in a pack. I was doing 45 mi in 3 days on the AT and just wanted something reasonably priced. I got lucky. This bag is a gem. It packed beautifully and was incredibly comfortable and efficient. My friend, an experienced, competent section hiker, couldn't stop commenting on its thoughtful design and quality. It has certainly helped me want to continue hitting the trail. Excellent purchase.
