Reviewed by skyblue from Mid atlantic on Thursday, January 19, 2017My baby is 12 months and has always measured around the 50th percentile for head circumference- I got him the 12 month size but its too small. I'd recommend that size for 3-9 month babies if they have a fairly average size head. The next size up isn't currently available, but I probably wouldn't buy it regardless- the hat is fairly thin, and if a hat is going to have 50% synthetic fibers, I'd like it to be a very warm hat like some of the fleece lined wool ones we own. It does, however, look nice and appear to be well-made.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bess from North Carolina on Sunday, January 24, 2016Love this hat, bought the blue version in several sizes as my little boy grew. Beautiful colors, also reversible (blue just has kind of periwinkle blue with darker blue "smartwool" written along edge).
Reviewed by Kate from SF Bay Area on Saturday, November 28, 2015We had a 100% merino SmartWool baby hat that we loved - super soft and lasted forever due to the amazing stretch. This one looks super cute so didn't hesitate to order it. Unfortunately it's (as it says in the description) 50% acrylic - feels scratchy and not as stretchy. I prefer all-natural fibers for my babe anyway so returned.

Really pretty, our son has gotten a lot of compliments. How adorable is a baby in smartwool?! Also is reversible (plain blue on inside with giant "smartwool" lettering written along edge).
