There are many reasons that I like this watch! The face is big--really big--and so are the numbers which is very helpful if you are over 40 and need to wear reading glasses in order to read the time on your watch with very tiny numbers! There really is no way to take a quick discreet gander at your watch when you cannot see the numbers! I also like that the numbers are gold as is some of the area in the center of the watch; I wear my watch on my left arm, and my rings, yes rings (plural), on that hand are gold so all of my jewelry seems to coordinate better with this watch. I like stars on the face because this adds a touch of patriotism. Also, the watch has "all stainless steel construction" which means, at least for me anyway, that I won't get a rash (I am allergic to nickel so I cannot wear any costume jewelry; my jewelry has to be 10k to 18k gold, sterling silver, or stainless steel). The reason that I am not giving this watch five stars is that it arrived with a dead battery. Usually, when I have purchased watches online in the past, they have arrived with a small plastic piece inserted between the stem and the case of the watch which stops the watch from running thereby preserving the battery. I took it to my local jeweler with instructions to replace the battery, and, if the watch was running okay after that, I needed to have her remove some links. Luckily, it was just the battery so $21 later (for the battery and the removal of some links) I have a lovely watch!
