These sport pants doubled as dress pants on a recent trip to the jungle in Panama. They were water repellent in the downpours, washed out easily after the mud and still looked presentable in a nice restaurant and on the plane. They are quite stretchy but don't bag out, they're more trim in the legs than most field pants so they look like regular pants. I didn't wear them in the sun since I got them in black but I did spray them with permethrin to repel bugs with no ill effects to the fabric.

i wish these pants weren't so loud -- or maybe i just lack a thigh gap :) whatever the case, i hate the sound they make. the fit is awesome even for someone on the plumper side (went up a size, as normal for me with outdoor clothing) and the pants look great (the blue is especially pretty too), but i can't get over the noise so am returning them. they sound like the ski pants i wore as a kid in the 70s.

I ordered these pants after having purchased and worn two pairs of the previous year's model in the next size up. They had served me very well on a month-long bike tour and on many hikes. That said, I had lost some weight, and the size 4 were quite baggy on me (I'm 5'3" and about 110 lbs now), so I ordered a size 2. However, the size 2 was very tight in the seat, and very short-waisted. These are wonderful hiking and travel pants, but the sizing does seem to have changed from the previous year's design.

I am so sorry these pants didn't work out!!! Beautiful blue that would go with a lot and very nice fabric - everything fit perfect except the crotch. It was so tight - it totally outlined the crotch. I am a size 6 and have several other black ExOfficio pants but these were cut wrong so they went back :(

These are great pants, bought my usual exofficio size 6 and they have a very flattering fit. Was concerned about the straight leg description but the leg opens are not too straight. Lots of give to the fabric, a dressier look than the usual field pant. So nice to not just get beige and green. Hidden leg pocket and back pockets. Easily can wear these around town or to dinner. Can't wait to order another pair.

I had to go up a size to get my usual fit (normally a 12 these days), but once that was established, they fit great and wash up like a dream with no pressing necessary. Lightweight with some stretch for warm weather comfort. I havent had these long enough to wear much, but expect to do this fall. The color is a gray-blue, so it's easiest to just wear neutrals with it so far.
