I purchased a medium in this tank (5' 7", 125lbs, thin waist with most of my weight on my bottom half) and probably should've gone a small but they were out of stock at the time. It's pretty shapeless but I figured I would use it as a top for when it's humid out so that aspect would be acceptable.
The blue color is nice but as others have pointed out, you really need something under this to wear in public. The fabric stretches out pretty easily since it is thin but I was still alright with the shirt until I noticed a hole in the wool about 2 months after receiving the product with little wear. This was not on a seam and I do not anything rough with the shirt (no dryer, only wash when really needed) so is really a fault in the fabric itself.
I buy Icebreaker brand a lot and love the functionality of their products, even for their higher prices, but I will switch to another brand if this continues to happen (this is my second item from them with this problem). Their warranty is great but it's only worth it to a certain extent.

The top is a pretty color, fits a bit loose (which I like), and appears as a solid color (which I also like). The small is not form fitting on me so I can wear it out kayaking, etc. not just at the gym. Soft merino wool and high quality- what one expects from Icebreaker. Thanks STP.

Super soft and light. Great for hot days. Not skin tight which I appreciate. 5ft 115lbs and small fits nicely.

I purchased one of these tanks last year, and when they went on sale this year I promptly bought three more.
Over the past year, this tank has proven to be the best performance top ever. It has not stretched out, pilled, or torn over time, and the fit could not be better. The straps cover my bra straps perfectly, the armholes are roomy without showing the side of my bra, and it is slightly loose ( better for ventilation) without looking sloppy.
I recently went on a a backpacking trip with humid 90 degree temps. I was sweating like crazy - my pack was so damp that I thought I had sprung a leak in my water bladder! Even in these conditions I was comfortable in this top. Once at camp, I hung it out for an hour or so and it dried in a jiffy.
Of course, like all icebreaker products, it never stank either!
Lastly, the colors are fab too!

I'm usually a medium, but small fit perfectly. I wore this tank top for a 21 day hike along the John Muir Trail. It is soft, light, dries fairly quickly, and doesn't get stinky. Highly recommend!

I love Icebreaker so much in the winter that I figured I'd buy these to wear this summer. Great quality and a flattering cut. I've learned to size up with Icebreaker -- I'm 5'8", 135, and the large fits well (in the comfy/flattering sweet spot between skin tight and baggy).

I normally take a medium, sometimes a small. I bought a small, and wish I had gotten an extra small. I'm 5'6" 135 lbs.

Lovely material - feels great against the skin but a little on the sheer side in that if you were to buy a light color, you would see through the material unless wearing a skin tone bra. I probably should have ordered a size small form my regular size medium but ended up sending the item back and not exchanging.

Love the color, the fit ... no bra straps showing. I would buy another!

The fit is quite nice - not as baggy around the waist as some of the other Icebreaker tops I own ( I have a small waist compared to my chest), and the straps are about the perfect width. The material is very lightweight and a touch see-through, so you need to adjust your bra accordingly. I wear it mostly for outdoor or exercise purposes with a good sports bra, so not an issue. I am 5'6" 132lbs and 32D, got a M which is comfortably roomy
