Hi-Tec Peak Lite Mid Hiking Boots - Waterproof (For Women)
Closeouts. Wade through muddy creek beds and wet grass without getting your socks wet in Hi-Tec's Peak Lite Mid hiking boots. These supportive hikers repel water and dirt with the help of a Dri-Tec waterproof breathable membrane and i-shield® coating.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mower Queen from Wyoming on Wednesday, February 22, 2017This is the second pair of these boots for me. I love them. They are really comfortable and lightweight. The first pair of boots is holding up well and I am hard on boots.
Reviewed by Lou from California on Thursday, January 26, 2017First, these have that toxic MADE IN CHINA odor right out of the box. They are stiff, uncomfortable and have zero padding. A big waste of shipping money.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by greenhill from NH on Saturday, January 14, 2017A great deal for the money. Fit is true . So far they seem waterproof and definitely repel dirt somehow . Look good and are as comfortable a a hiker can be . For the price you can't go wrong ! Hi-Tec is doing a good job keeping up with other pricey brands in both function and style.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Searching for New Boots from New York on Friday, January 13, 2017I've worn them with and without inserts and they need inserts to be truly comfortable, especially they run a little big. As someone else wrote, they're also a bit stiff. The waterproofing has been so far, though I haven't worn them in a huge downpour yet. Will be taking them to the jungle, so fingers crossed.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by MN reviewer from Minnesota on Monday, January 2, 2017Our daughter got this boot for Christmas and it is being put to the test right now hiking some long and steep trails in New Zealand. She says it is a great boot and comfortable right out of the box. This boot ran true to size for her, even with heavy hiking socks on (she normally wears a 7 or 7.5 and the boot she is got and is wearing is a 7). Would recommend these boots. She loves the look of the boot as well. Love Sierra Trading Post!

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Bird Hunter from Illinois on Monday, November 28, 2016Got these Hi-Tec's Peak Lite Mid hiking boots on a closeout for my girlfriend. Was glad that I paid a little more for these over the other pair on closeout. Now, she just got these - so I will tell you what I know:
They are pretty light
They seemed to run true to size
The quality seems to be there
The sole is aggressive, but not overly so
They are a little snug around her ankle at the top of the boot.
They are maybe a skitch stiff - but she has just been wearing them around the house to break in.
I have no idea yet as to how dirt & water repelling they may be.
To summarize - it has been a long time since she has had a hiking boot. She has been spending more time outdoors as I am outdoors a lot. She wanted a light weight hiker that had a decent gripping sole, would provide some ankle support and not be stiff like a logging boot. She seems pretty thrilled w/ these as they have seemed to fit the bill.
If you are hardcore, perhaps you should look for a "better" hiker, if you are an occasional wearer and want light weight mid-high hiking boot these may be for you.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by JP Hiker from Hawaii on Monday, October 3, 2016I bought these for work, not for hiking. Shoes feel true to size, but feels kind of stiff, not the best insoles. After replacing the insoles with ones that provide more arch support, shoes felt more comfortable. Shoes are ok for the cheap price - satisfaction will depend on what your expectations are - as I've had Hi-Tec shoes before, I did not expect them to feel the same as my more expensive shoes do, so I'm ok with them.
Reviewed by Duck from No. Virginia on Friday, September 23, 2016I had been searching for a waterproof mid hiking boot and found these. I truly think the clincher for me was the reviewer in Colorado that wrote "The boots maiden voyage was a 14er last weekend, and they did great!" Although I don't do and probably will never do a 14er, I do a lot of trails and what we call mountain areas in the Northern Va/Maryland/PA area and I have no doubt these are going to be great. The first pair I wore around the house for two weeks/some back yard and I love the arch support, the lite weight and general support of this boot. I did go up a 1/2 size because I do wear medium, usual merino wool, weight sock and it just felt better (size 8.5 med). Hope this helps.
