I've always loved Rockies but on many of their jeans the rise is just way too high for me. These fit me perfectly, as if they were made for me. I am a true size 12 and I have always found Rockies a bit small so I ordered the 14s. They fit beautifully, waist hip and leg.

I highly recommend these je... Read More

    • Great question! They might. A true long would be for longer rise, not just leg length. I have both R and L and the L is quite long (to the floor with high-heeled boots on; I'm 5'9"). However, did you try wearing them a while? They do stretch out a bit and will loosen some, making the rise more comfortable.

    • BTW, they really are GREAT pants for the $.

    • Unless someone out there has a pair and can post their measures with your own, a better idea imho, would be to ask an STP supervisor at customer service to pull a pair of 6L and do that measure for you. Might take a few days, but having made a similar request in the past I recommend you submit a request yourself and remove all doubt :) !
      Best of luck to you.

    • I'm almost 6' tall so I have to buy L for length. The rise was fine for me. Hope this helps

    • As far as I know, only the hem length is longer.

    • I can't be sure because I only have the 12L here for me to measure. Front rise including waistband = 9 1/4". Back rise including waistband = 15".

    • just hem the length. thats what i have to do in order for jeans to be the right length.

    • Hi, This is Aminah, I bought 7 pairs of these jeansin 10R because they fit me perfectly. I am 5'7" with very ,long legs. They ARE LOW-RISE so they hit just above my hips. The hem was about perfect for me to wear with either boots with taller heels or lower heels, or flats.

Now with a long, the hem will clearly be longer. I do not know about the waist being longer as well, but likely at least a little longer. I would keep in mind that these are NOT MID RISE but LOW RISE, so where they are hitting you on your bod, in my opinion, will be just above the hips.

I only offer this information because I do not know you height or leg length. These are such great jeans and a great price, if it were me I would just order one pair of the long to try.

      Hope this helps.
