I wore these gloves skate skiing in very cold weather and they were very warm! Comfy, with good grip on my ski poles. They did seem waterproof - wore them in snow, not rain.

The placement of the thumb causes these gloves to feel like the thumb is pulling from the center of the palm in a restrictive sort of way. Couple that with the fingers are short, so that they don't fit down close to the webbing area between one's fingers. Overall, they don't feel like they were patterned correctly, and they are not warm gloves. I returned them.

I got these so I would have a non-bulky warm glove to use in the cold weather seasons, a pair I can keep in the car, or for just every day kind of use in bad weather. When they arrived, they were perfect. They are not bulkly at all, and they will easily replace the department store brands I previously used that were just thin leather. I like them so much, I'm ordering them in another color. My hubby even got some of the men's version....perfect as well.

I am not able to comment on the warmth, waterproofing, windproofing etc. I bought these in May to use the next ski season. As I live in Florida, I won't be able to test these out for a few months...
