Probably only "normal" waisted hiking pants out there

The last time I shopped for hiking pants was over 15 years ago. With two children out of the house, I decided it was time to start hiking again. I tried on at least twenty pairs of hiking pants and called around in SF-SJC area. I have found only one other pair of pants that are not mid or low-rise hiking pants. Low-rise pants make women's torso look long and look okay if the wearer does not do anything other than standing. I am fit, 5'8" and trim with long torso. This older product is exactly what I need -- something that won't make my torso look super long, that will stay up, and that won't show parts of the body that should stay covered. Although I wish I had more options, I am glad I found this product. I bought three for travel and hiking.

(I don't know why they call this high waist. The pants sits at the waist, not above or below.)
