I am 5'4 and 130 lb and the size 8 fits me perfectly. It is sporty yet very flattering -- short but not too short for a 55 year old! It is extremely comfortable and the shorts never ride up or show. It really just looks like a cute skirt, but with the extra comfort of being a skort. Hoping STP w... Read More

5'4" and 134. Got size 10 and it fits fine. Maybe the waistband is a tiny bit loose. The shorts underneath are body hugging if you get my drift. Don't try going commando.

I got this to use on a bike tour. It will do for getting dressed up as well as replacing a pair of shorts. Besides, in some countries women can't really wear shorts.

I got a Kuhl skort last year and haven't been able to find another one yet so got this Royal Robbins skort in black. Very comfortable, simple wash and wear and one thing I love is that the fabric doesn't attract and hold pet hair. We have two dogs and I usually end up wearing some hair from the Jack Russell on most days, LOL. The fabric dries very quickly whether you are putting it on over something wet or coming out of the washer. I'm going to get another one now while it is on closeout. I recommend ordering a size up, I usually wear a M in Kuhl or an 8 in other brands, but there is only a little give in the waistband on this because of the zipper.

I like this skort quite a lot, however, I gave it a 4 because the seam in the crotch is oddly short/high - it rides close to the body. 1/4 to 1/2 inch lower and the piece would be much more comfortable. I'm going to adjust it myself because I like the skort enough to keep it.

I purchased an 8, but returned it for a 10. Fits very well, perfect length. Only complaint is that the fabric is stiffer than
    I would like.

About Royal Robbins

By the late-1960s, veteran Yosemite rock climber Royal Robbins and his wife Liz had grown tired of wearing cutoff jeans on the crag. At the time, apparel designed specifically for outdoor adventure was virtually non-existent. After years of wishing for something better, the couple finally decided to create their own, starting with a pair of climbing shorts called the “Billy Goat.” This was the beginning of Royal Robbins’ clothing revolution. Today, nearly 50 years later, Royal Robbins outdoor clothing is as rugged and reliable as ever. When you buy a Royal Robbins sweater or shirt, or a Royal Robbins pair of pants or shorts, you can bet it will fit great, whether you’re climbing in the Sierra Nevadas, camping in the backcountry or relaxing in your own backyard.
