  • Nice Warm Sweater

I ordered this sweater in a size s. I'm normally s-m (5'4", 133 lbs) depending on the manufacture. These sweaters do run a little on the larger side. I probably could have returned it for an extra small, but I'm going to keep it. It is warm with out being too hot. I would recommend it for cool Fall days or temperate winter days.

Very pretty sweater. Tight, smooth weave to the fabric. Not bulky, yet warm. Sleeves are too long on me, but I'm short. Fits true to size.

I'm a fan of the Royal Robbins clothing. I liked the color but the S was very large on me. And the knit is thin, not warm enough for chilly days without a base layer. STP doesn't offer an XS so I have to return it and pay for the shipping and another fee if I want a refund instead of a store credit. I will reconsider buying from STP in the future. I waited almost 2 weeks to receive my order. The prices are good but other retailers I do business with don't charge for sized items to be returned.
  • It looks good, it fits the size.

  • Very nice sweater - runs a little large

I was nicely surprised by the quality of this sweater. It is substantial and the perfect blend of cotton and wool to be warm for fall but not itchy without an underlayer. I never ordered anything from Royal Robbins before and I will now take a second look at their merchandise. It does run big, which is why I only gave it 4 stars. I am 5'5" 137 lbs and the med was a little too big on me - sleeves a little long and a little bit too loose. I will keep it because of the price, because I really do like it.

About Royal Robbins

By the late-1960s, veteran Yosemite rock climber Royal Robbins and his wife Liz had grown tired of wearing cutoff jeans on the crag. At the time, apparel designed specifically for outdoor adventure was virtually non-existent. After years of wishing for something better, the couple finally decided to create their own, starting with a pair of climbing shorts called the “Billy Goat.” This was the beginning of Royal Robbins’ clothing revolution. Today, nearly 50 years later, Royal Robbins outdoor clothing is as rugged and reliable as ever. When you buy a Royal Robbins sweater or shirt, or a Royal Robbins pair of pants or shorts, you can bet it will fit great, whether you’re climbing in the Sierra Nevadas, camping in the backcountry or relaxing in your own backyard.
