I will use for work when cold, great layer. 2 way zipper makes it easy to take off and cary around you waist while hiking if you get to hot.

Except for being a tad too small (I am a swimmer and have a big back and arms and XL was a bit small on me) this is a great vest. I like the color, the fit and it kept me warm enough and dry.

I own two, even though there's only one color. I wear them for pockets and polish.
    • Best Uses: All around
    • Cons: Color options limited
    • Pros: Clean design, Good Cut For Busty Gals, Great pockets, Light But Tough Fabric, Matches anything, Never wrinkles

This is a really nice vest with hidden zippered pockets, nice style, wind resistant. I was expecting more insulating ability, but it is wind and water resistant. So far, I really like it.
    • Cons: Not Insulated As I Expect

Nice stretchy, durable-looking material and good, deep zippered pockets. Collar zips up high or lies flat when slightly unzipped. But made for the smaller-chested. My usual size was too tight in chest but already too loose at bottom hem (with no drawcord to cinch tighter) and almost too big in armholes, so a larger size wouldn't work. But cute.
    • Best Uses: Casual, Hiking
    • Cons: Tight in Chest
    • Pros: 2 Zippered pockets, Collar Lies Flat, Stretchy, Two-way zipper

    • Cons: none

About Royal Robbins

By the late-1960s, veteran Yosemite rock climber Royal Robbins and his wife Liz had grown tired of wearing cutoff jeans on the crag. At the time, apparel designed specifically for outdoor adventure was virtually non-existent. After years of wishing for something better, the couple finally decided to create their own, starting with a pair of climbing shorts called the “Billy Goat.” This was the beginning of Royal Robbins’ clothing revolution. Today, nearly 50 years later, Royal Robbins outdoor clothing is as rugged and reliable as ever. When you buy a Royal Robbins sweater or shirt, or a Royal Robbins pair of pants or shorts, you can bet it will fit great, whether you’re climbing in the Sierra Nevadas, camping in the backcountry or relaxing in your own backyard.
