Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Handsome design

I like the style of this shirt. It is sewn well with the exception of a decorative detail on the pocket. The color of the thread was in stark contrast to the shirt and it was noticeable. However, this was easily remedied by carefully removing the thread with a seam ripping tool. Once done, the shirt looked very nice. I do not regret my purchase and gave it a rating of 5 because overall of design and construction were to my satisfaction.

No doubt a good shirt, but lacks some detail to put five stars.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. nice warm casual shirt

This is a nice casual shirt for cooler weather. Heavyweight fabric is soft and warm and wrinkle free. Exterior has a nice texture and interior is brushed for softness. It is a little too heavy to tuck in, but I guess that is the style these days anyway. Chest pockets are large enough to hold a passport or iphone, but I wouldn't mind them being larger. Sizing is a little looser than typical Royal Robbins; probably to allow for layering.

    Soft fabric, looks sharp, well-made.

About Royal Robbins

By the late-1960s, veteran Yosemite rock climber Royal Robbins and his wife Liz had grown tired of wearing cutoff jeans on the crag. At the time, apparel designed specifically for outdoor adventure was virtually non-existent. After years of wishing for something better, the couple finally decided to create their own, starting with a pair of climbing shorts called the “Billy Goat.” This was the beginning of Royal Robbins’ clothing revolution. Today, nearly 50 years later, Royal Robbins outdoor clothing is as rugged and reliable as ever. When you buy a Royal Robbins sweater or shirt, or a Royal Robbins pair of pants or shorts, you can bet it will fit great, whether you’re climbing in the Sierra Nevadas, camping in the backcountry or relaxing in your own backyard.
