Verified Buyer Reviewed by Joseph from LOUISIANA on Thursday, October 12, 2017These pants do not look like sadventure" or outdoor psnts. Cool, light, with the appearsnce of fine linen. Zippered pockets. Comfortable. Wear them anywhere.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Joon from New York on Tuesday, October 3, 2017These pants are very well thought out and well-constructed. Little things like the mesh lining in pockets and high quality zippers seems to be the hallmark of Royal Robbins. This is my 3rd pair and I don't think I'd change anything.
These pants run a little on the slim side. I usually where a 34 waist and although they fit, the 36 was a more comfortable fit for me.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Brian from Illinois on Tuesday, September 12, 2017Love these pants. Stretchy, look good, and very comfy. I'll be travelling in these plenty - and I can weat them to the office too.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by MaxQ from Texas on Wednesday, August 2, 2017Nice sturdy but light material, color is lighter than shown in pic; very slight swish sound when walking (better than most nylon pants). I wore them in the rain and they dried on me in less than an hour. They are pretty wrinkled coming out of the dryer, but the wrinkles fall out if hung up. Overall worth the money, but a few issues: 1) Totally straight legs--from top to bottom, legs totally straight, so way too wide at the bottom; not a slim fit as others seem to think; baggy from seat to feet (I'm 6'1", 170) 2) Pockets are odd. All are nicely deep; velcro on left rear pocket adds security but I find it impossible to open one handed (disabled Vet and only have full use of one arm); change falls out of front pockets when I sit down (there is a separate change pocket with velcro that I should probably use more); the thigh pocket opening is nicely hidden on the right outer thigh seam, but the pocket itself angles to the rear and extends from mid thigh to just above the knee--maybe others like that but to me it puts my cell under my thigh when I sit. On the other hand, you don't whack that area when you hike, so maybe its intentional. I'd give 3 1/2 if I could, but am going with 3 since the fit is for those who aren't exactly slim. :-)

If you are asking if there is a gusset in the crotch, no. There is significant stretch to the material and since there is mesh lining in the front thigh area, I haven’t noticed an issue whil out hiking. Hope that helps.
I would say yes as the 3th piece of fabric.
“Are the front slash hand pockets zippered? It mentioned a small zippered pocket but doesn't give exact location or good description. What is the size of the zippered pocket if it's not the front slash pockets?
Front pockets are not zippered. There is a pocket on the right thigh which is and it's big enough for a large cell phone. Also the right back pocket has a zipper which will hold a wallet. The other back pocket has a velcro closure. The pants are more tailored than your run of the mill travel pants without the baggy utility pockets , which for me is just fine. You could wear these pants just about anywhere and feel comfortable.
There are two zip pockets, the left back pocket and the right thigh pocket. They both have plenty of room to hold a large sized phone or regular wallet.
The front hand pockets are not zippered; there is a small change pocket inside the right front pocket (like Levis have) that does have velcro. As others noted, left rear pocket has velcro; right rear pocket has a zipper; right thigh pocket opening is zippered and hidden on the seam.
