Great Fitting Jacket

I was originally looking at the fleece version from Ruffwear, but chose this slightly higher priced version because the top is water/wind resistant. The construction of this jacket makes a lot of sense. Other jackets did not fit well on our Greyhound/Border Collie mix - they had velcro straps and seemed to shift on his body as he moved, and he clearly was not comfortable in those. Whenever we put anything like a jacket or backpack on him - he acted like he couldn't move or walk, however, with this jacket he moved around just fine immediately after putting it on. This style is ideal because the jacket fits more like a t-shirt on the bottom with the stretchy nylon fabric, and the overall fit is snug and doesn't shift (the zipper is the overall fastener down the side). There is a flap on one end of the zipper so it does not aggravate your dog's neck, and a snap closure at the other end to make sure it stays in place. Also, there is a small tab on the back with a graphic that looks like a light - perhaps to hook a light or reflective device? Note - There are a lot more reviews on the fleece version, but the construction/style looks fairly similar. As for sizing - our dog is 55lbs and has a 28" girth and the medium fits perfect. If you are looking for the sizing guidelines - hover over the size options with your cursor and the girth dimensions appear. Overall, this is a well constructed jacket, quality materials, a smart design for a good fit, and worth the price.
