Keeps dogs with less fur both dry and warm. I have bought several Ruffwear products and medium fits my dog---in this case medium is a little generous but I simply fold the piece by the tail under. (it is longer than the other coats I have bought)
The material is of the highest quality. Ruffwear does not make cheap products. -

They aren't cheap but they are worth every penny. Now when we let Libby out in the yard on cold nights it's hard to get her to come back in. She loves it! She also has a a Ruffwear rain jacket and won't go in the rain without it. Libby is a 50 lb Pit/Labrador mix and the medium is generously sized but fits.

I’m pretty sure it was made for a horse because it was so massive. I sent that back and checked the comments on the site. I have a pit/sharpei mix that weighs 68 pounds. His chest is pretty big but the rest is slender and pure muscle. I got him the Medium and it fits perfectly!
The jacket is the best made with everything I was looking for compared to the previous 20 other brands. It’s rigged enough that I don’t have to worry it’ll tear. The fleece lining definitely makes it warmer. I can feel under it and it’s cozy warm compared to the jackets without fleece. There’s no chafing and it keeps his chest warm compared to the type with one strap. I can’t say enough how happy I am to finally find everything I was looking for in 1 jacket. -

She's 51# with a 26" chest and it fits her well. We have a hard time finding coats to fit her because her neck and shoulders are big so this one looks very comfortable on her because of the large arm holes and neck opening. Our flat-coated retriever likes to rough house with her and he frequently tears her tops, this one looks bullet-proof, so I'm hoping it will last a lifetime.

Luckily I can sew so I just added a large buttonhole to the back and voila! Puzzling that they left out that option but for the price here I don’t mind fixing it myself.

I would’ve loved for it to fit because it was a very nice coat, but I’ll have to look at different brands. -
