Verified Buyer Reviewed by apeacock from Montana on Tuesday, February 13, 2018I bought a large/xl for my 70 pound collie, and can't say enough good things about this pack. It's easy to get on and off, wears well on long hikes, and the various compartments are well designed.
Reviewed by D from Phoenix on Saturday, January 20, 2018Great pack!! It’s just as shown the current photo (as of Jan. 2018) I have a 60lb Staffie mix that fits the size small well with most of the straps loosened much of the way out.
Reviewed by Matthew from Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 23, 2017First off, this is a great pack for multi-day backpacking with your dog. I was disappointed however upon opening the package that the pictured version is not what is being sold. A previous year's model with a different attachment system mates the harness and saddlebags. It uses plastic clips instead of metal hardware. The color is not the same either. The version received is all black except for the saddlebag pouches themselves. I would have still ordered the pack, but be forewarned, if you're dead set on the fastening system/color pictured, it's not what you're going to receive.

“Is there a lead attachment on the pack”
Yes, this does have a lead attachment.
“The large/XL size says a girth of 32-42- where would I measure my dog to see if this would fit him? He is a Great Dane so I'm afraid the product won't fit him. Is that around the largest part of his chest? Or around but under his 'armpits'? Thnx in advance ”
Hello Lori, It is the largest part of his chest. My golden is 32, right on the Medium and L/XL cutoff and Ruffwear told me to downsize if that is the case but I am sure your great dane will fall into the L/XL. Hope this helps!
