Seems LegitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Larry Legado from California on Wednesday, April 11, 2018Writing this to help with sizing since I haven"t been able to test the product in the elements. I'm 6'3" 245lbs with a longer torso, broad shoulders and a bit of a belly. I wear tall length shirts, usually XXL. I ordered the XL jacket and would order the same size again. Length is good, sleeve length is a bit long as others have noted. It would probably be a bit tight if I wore a puffy hooded sweatshirt underneath but I like to wear thermal and t-shirt. Zippers and seams are high quality.
Really Nice!Reviewed by Jimmy from Seattle from Seattle on Tuesday, April 3, 2018Great Jacket, well made.
Wonderful?Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gilbert from Alabama on Thursday, March 22, 2018We love Sierra Trading Post! Last minute ski trip and had to have something fast. Got here less than a week after we ordered. Perfect.
Nice but hugeVerified Buyer Reviewed by sportygirl from california on Tuesday, March 13, 2018This jacket was nice but at 6ft tall I felt like a small person. The sleeves are enormous, and the torso too long but nice width. Too bad as the material and workmanship are good. If you are 6'4" and taller this jacket might be perfect for you!
Warm with pockets everywhereVerified Buyer Reviewed by KSJJ from California on Monday, February 26, 2018Very high quality with the options I like, pockets. I’m warm and happy!
Saga Monarch jacket: Best jacket I've ever ownedVerified Buyer Reviewed by Evan from Colorado on Tuesday, February 13, 2018I bought this for an upcoming powdercats trip in steamboat this jacket kept me dry and warm all day long. The monarch does a fantastic job at keeping water out and an even better job at managing temperatures, I was never too hot or too cold. Not to mention all the HUGE pockets, I skied with a whole 6 pack in the front chest pocket. Best jacket Ive ever owned
great jacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Daren from NC on Tuesday, February 13, 2018Very nice jacket, just got back from ski trip, water runs right off it, this jacket can't stay wet. Material is pretty firm but does seem to be loosening up a bit after some use. Hood is extra large to fit over helmet. There is no insulation but it is thick material and pretty warm, I would say if it's in the 30's just a midweight base layer by itself is plenty, 10s-20s probably a sweater or fleece. I'm 6'1" and 185 and I got the Large, it fits perfect, roomy for any layering that I need but I'm not swimming in it. Only thing I wish it had were side pockets instead of the flap pockets in the front, when using it off the slopes there's no where to put your hands and when I go on ski trips I don't like to bring two jackets. Other then that it's awesome.
Runs large!Reviewed by Steve O from Michigan on Saturday, February 3, 2018The quality of this jacket is there, and the price makes it a tremendous value, but they run LARGE. I'm 6'3" 215lbs and I wear an XL in a ski jacket, so I ordered an XL. The sleeves completely covered the ends of my fingertips. Maybe it had the wrong label sewn into it? I felt like a 4XL.
Saga Monarch JacketVerified Buyer Reviewed by DLM from Colorado on Tuesday, January 30, 2018I like the overall roominess and fit of this jacket - I am 5'6" 190 Lb and a Medium works well with room for layering. All the pockets and features like under arm vents and snow skirt seem well thought out for an active wear shell - I bought mine primarily for skiing and outdoor use. Very good freedom of arms motion also appreciated. My only reservation is the material, especially at seems seals, is a little stiffer than I would prefer. It does not hinder movement but there is a little noise when you move around. This is a minor issue that might change as the jacket wears in and the only thing that kept me from a full 5 star rating.

“Does this jacket tend to fit a little larger? Looking at the chest sizes this has, under the small=42", medium=44", and large=46" seem larger than normal. Usually a small is 36-38", a medium is 38-40" and so on. Even looking at the Saga website shows a different sizing chart. ”
HI - at my current (over) weight I wear a 43/44 and this jacket fits with some room for layering. So I believe the description is right on.
