Comfy, but not for me

These boots have received crazy good reviews, so I grabbed a pair to see what the hype was about. They are really well thought out boots and you can feel the quality as soon as you pick them up. But they suffer from the same problem as many other boots that go for a middle ground between rigid and flexible. As shoe size increases (size 12+ probably) the ratio of thickness to length gets distorted, meaning that there is more pressure being put on the same thickness of material compared to a shorter boot. So every time I take a step, the boot flexes too far right around my toe joints. I have had to avoid "medium stiffness" boots like these because they flex when they aren't supposed to. If you're a big guy with big feet, either go stiffer or more flexible.
