salomon quest trail bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by morinikmd from State of Jefferson on Saturday, July 22, 2017great looking boot-usually wear a 12, but 11.5 fits fine. Light weight too.
Comfortable but bad for rough terrainReviewed by Avi from Israel on Monday, June 26, 2017Bought these shoes after many recommendations online. Was 160€. In first glance the shoes are great catch - comfortable, not too heavy, and string structure.
In reality, after 3.5 months of use I can tell that water resistance isn't working well, was crossing low level rivers and water ran into my shoes. Also the shoe sole isn't solid.
Bottom line: good for light trekking, not for rough terrain (or as my friend says it's good for basketball)
Also, wanted to write to salomon, but it's kind of impossible to get them online.
A rock-solid bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by BackpackingNorCal from California on Monday, June 5, 2017I just put about 10 miles of higher-intermediate terrain on these boots and they are a rock-solid product. Great traction, great support, I feel they will have a good amount of longevity. A few things to note: 1) I have an exact-size 13 foot but I had to go with 12s for this boot (thanks STP for great support!), 2) I have a narrow foot and can't say I'd recommend these for similar - these seemed to be designed for a bit wider foot, and 3) the heels are very hard - as I have narrow/skinny/bony feet, I'm getting a lot of pressure on my heel, particularly left, to the point where it's a smidge painful on incline.
Salomon Hiking BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Average Hiker from New York on Tuesday, May 30, 2017Boots appear to be well made. However they were oversized. Size 10 more like 10 1/2 or 11. Thought I would try them anyway and made the mistake of removing the tags and wearing to the store and back.Advised by phone, by Sierra that I could not return them for a smaller size. Guess I have been spoiled by dealing w/ LL Bean & their return policy. Now I am stuck with a pair of oversized boots.
Backpacking BootVerified Buyer Reviewed by Drwineski from Southern California on Monday, May 29, 2017Great shoe at a great price. Good support and cushioning for backpacking or hiking. No break in required.
The new model is almost $100 more.
Seem to be well constructed but not well designed.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Matt the urban hiker and runner from Indiana on Friday, May 26, 2017The shoe runs slightly large but when laced up applied uncomfortable pressure in the mid-sole and around the ankle. I returned these for a different boot.
Great boots, a little wideVerified Buyer Reviewed by Steve from California on Tuesday, May 16, 2017Great quality boots with all the features I want. Sadly, I had to return them as they are somewhat wide and I have feet that are a bit narrow.
GreatVerified Buyer Reviewed by DrifterGUNS from Willmar MN on Sunday, May 14, 2017Soles don't work do great on ladders which make feet hurt but these boots are comfy and fit perfectly.
Hiking BootsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Brian from New Jersey on Wednesday, May 10, 2017My last pair of Solomon hiking boots are 15 years old. Original use was backpacking. Then I turned them into work boots. My new pair will no doubt have the same life cycle. New boots are light weight, comfortable, easy to sinch and tie. Best of all a sole with minimal flex for backpacking. I love these boots.
Very nice hiking bootVerified Buyer Reviewed by portauto from ohio on Sunday, May 7, 2017First pair of hiking boots for me. Had great support and comfort right out of the box, no break in. It was wet and feet stayed dry.

“I would like to ask what is the difference between mens and womens boots (salomon quest prime)?
I know that mens boot size is bigger than female boots but will a size 9us women boots fit a size 8 us men size?
There's typically 1.5 - 2 sizes difference between women's and men's shoe sizes.
I have a narrow heel and normal width forefoot, and because women's shoes are somewhat narrower I occasionally wear them.
I think the sizing difference averages 1 1/2....ie, a men's 10.5 (me) usually needs a women's 12. Occasionally I can wear a women's 11.5. So 1 to 1 1/2 size difference.
The general differences between Men’s and Women’s hiking boots:
Last size. Men’s boots are usually made on a larger last, to account for the additional size and volume of a man’s foot.
Weight. Men’s boots usually weigh more.
Higher ankle support. Usually the men’s version comes up higher on the ankle.
Colors! Designers tend to make men’s boots earth tones, and recently they’ve started to add some unique colors to women’s hiking boots!
