I really like these, nice grip, stiffness and support. They feel fast. A little too much branding, but what can you do. True to size for me. Have used them on the trail and the road side.

This is an old model that I bought on clearance. The new ones are slightly better, however, these are great for the price. They are sturdy, comfortable and functional.

I'm only just breaking them in, but they're more comfortable off the bat than any pair I can remember. My feet are difficult, near half-size difference, narrow ankle & heel & broad ball & metatarsal...so this is impressive. My only slight complaint, probably my fault for missing some fine print as I made up my mind to purchase, I've really gotten comfortable with the shoelace doohickey I thought all Salomon running shoes had to avoid tying up.

Salomon shoes have always been attractive to me but not affordable, but not on STP's website!!! The shoes fit great, a little snug in the metatarsal, but they're still breaking in... I use use them for mountain biking, and the tread of this shoe keeps my feet on the pedals when biking on rough trails, obstacles (tree limbs, deep trail holes, rocky terrain, etc.) and potholed streets.

Totally new to hiking - Looking for a pair of shoes as mine wouldnt cut it. The fit is great and theres definitely more padding on the bottom than my sneakers. :)

I am 5'9 175# shoe size 9.5, these shoes where to narrow for me and i always order 1/2 size up when getting from stp. seem to be good construction but just to narrow. I was going to use them to walk around rome

About Salomon

The legendary Salomon outdoor equipment company was founded more than 60 years ago in the French Alps by Francois Salomon. After developing the world’s first self-releasing ski binging in 1966, the company continued to grow and innovate new products. By the early 1990s, the brand had taken the wintersports market by storm with Salomon skis made using cap construction, a totally new innovation at the time. Salmon boots quickly became famous for their balance of performance and comfort on the slopes. By the turn of the century, Salomon snowboards were helping athletes push themselves in the park and powder. Today, Salomon continues to be an industry leader, with products that range from skis and snowboards to hiking boots and trail running shoes.
