At first I wasn't sure. They were quite stiff when I tried them on. After wearing for about an hour they started to feel comfy. I have a bunion and narrow heels, so I really love the adjustable heel straps. Can't wait to get these wet and do a little more walking in them. I recommend that you b... Read More

This is a great lightweight shoe. I use it primarily for walking over a variety of terrain and replace the insoles with my own orthotics. I love it for traveling through airport security as I can easily slip it off and on, using it as a sandal by folding down the back pad.

The shoes are comfortable and really grip well (I took them canyoneering in red rock and was slipping far less than my friends with chacos and other outerwear). My only complaint is that they get sand in them that builds up in the toe area. But other than that, no complaints!

I have had a pair of Salomon's water shoes very similar to these of about 11 years. I only wear them in summer a few times a week. They give good support and traction in the creek and are comfortable for boat shoes. They prevent excess gravel entering and easily drain. They are getting a little stiff, so I thought I would replace them, and this model is the most similar. The net covering the side opening is actually patches, with each opening being seamed all the way around. The older model has one net inside, across the openings, resulting in fewer interior seams. All that to say, I got a major blister from this shoe. I had to return this pair of shoes.

I do a lot of standup paddle boarding and surprisingly my feet actually do miss having arch support on the board. These are great for that. When I first put them on, I wasn't sure about the internal seams, but they have broken in well and the seams haven't been a problem. Plus I have to say that for some crazy reason, they are amazingly flattering to the leg. On the whole, pretty happy with these puppies.

About Salomon

The legendary Salomon outdoor equipment company was founded more than 60 years ago in the French Alps by Francois Salomon. After developing the world’s first self-releasing ski binging in 1966, the company continued to grow and innovate new products. By the early 1990s, the brand had taken the wintersports market by storm with Salomon skis made using cap construction, a totally new innovation at the time. Salmon boots quickly became famous for their balance of performance and comfort on the slopes. By the turn of the century, Salomon snowboards were helping athletes push themselves in the park and powder. Today, Salomon continues to be an industry leader, with products that range from skis and snowboards to hiking boots and trail running shoes.
