Roomy toe box, quality construction

I bought 1 pair to test out for an upcoming thru-hike and I liked these shoes so much, I bought 2 more pairs. The toe box is roomy without feeling sloppy. The heel fits snugly and doesn't slip around. The shoes appear to be constructed well and I'm anticipating them holding up for 500-700 miles. Before trying the Salomon X-Scream, I wore a pair of Brooks Cascadia 10s, which weren't as comfortable on my feet. The shoes fit true to size and are a great deal at this price.
