These boots are high quality and beautiful. Unfortunately they are sized small. I am size 11, which I ordered, but a European size 41 arrived in the mail. 41 fits like a size 10. So buyers, order an entire size up. Unfortunately 11 is as high as they go which fits like a size 10 so I can't have ... Read More

I received these yesterday. They are great looking, exceptional quality, great fit! I read all the reviews on several sites saying these ran small. The length seems to be spot on. They are small around mid foot top & ankles are pretty slim. Theses are BIG pluses for me. I have really skinny ankles & calves also 8 screws in left ankle/ lower calf these will be perfect support and not have to be tightened to extremes. Even on me the top seams are a bit tight but since they are high quality leather they will stretch out probably in the snow expected tomorrow here.
I would say if you have a wider foot, even just a touch wide ankles these probably won't work for you.
They fit mine so well I'll be buying their hiking boots next month !

Love these boots, they are a little snug but I think over time it will get better. Warm, waterproof, and stylish. I really like them.

There is a problem with the design of these boots that the other reviews haven't mentioned. The zipper has a 3" gusset at the bottom that doesn't allow the opening to spread enough to get my foot into the boot. After putting all of my weight into it, my foot finally went in (my arch hurt because of the ordeal), and the boot "fit". Getting it off again was another struggle. Who knows if the leather would have stretched over time and repeated wearing - I'm not a glutton for punishment, so I immediately returned them. Too bad, because they are very nice looking boots.

These boots were EVERYTHING I was looking for in a boot: well-made, waterproof, quality materials, etc. However, the sizing on these is way off. Order a full size larger if you want them to fit. I had to take mine back.

  • “What euro size is the 6?”
Asked by Mary from SLC on 2/3/2017 10:46:04 AM
    • I would say a 36 ... which is a 8.9" length foot. Sizes are tricky because a size 6 shoe varies depending on the brand.... so measure the length of you foot... mine is just shy of 9.2" at its longest and a 37 fits me perfectly.

  • “Is there a smaller size, like 5?”

  • “Are these boots in EU sizes, i.e. 38,39, etc or US sizes i.e. 8,9, etc?”
Asked by Emilie from Michigan on 2/22/2016 3:56:26 PM
    • They are in EU sizes, but sadly, I found that the marked sizes were off by one... e.g., I needed to order the US size 10 to receive the Euro 40, and even then, it felt a bit snug.

    • I ordered a size 10 US, but they are stamped on the sole 40, so I assume both. Made in Italy!

    • On the website they are sold in US sizes; however, the inside of the boot list both the US and EU size. My boots are listed as a size 7 / 37. I hope that helps. Do size up a bit, especially if you are a half size.

    • yes, they are EU sizes. I wear a size 10 US and bought 42 which fit perfectly. I've been wearing them in Oslo for the past two months and I'm very happy with them.

    • These are in EU sizes. I wear US size 8 and 39 for European shoes. Got these in 39 and they are perfect.

  • “Do you have to treat this boot on any part of it?”
Asked by Ryder15 from Texas on 12/12/2015 3:52:31 PM
    • The manufacturer says it's already treated and waterproof. There are a lot of seams and the darker part of the boot on the side is a suede. I've treated mine with a neutral polish. I think any leather item should probably be treated regularly, depending on the sort of use the item incurs.

    • I live in the Colorado Rockies and run the dogs around thru the mountains in these boots. I did put leather conditioner on the leather of the boot to protect against moisture stains. Have had them in very deep snow with no problems and they are the most comfortable snow boot I have ever owned.
Answered on 12/12/2015 9:38:25 PM by Chris from Colorado
    • Depends on how deep and wet your snow I'm guessing. Have only been in 2" The leather is fully treated but there is a zipper that runs from instep to top that I would not really submerge.
